Now that the Mid-Term Elections are over in the United States, expect big trouble on the ‘Hill’ in Washington. When the Republicans get through spanking the Democrats, not a lot will change except tunes that everyone dances to politically. I am hopeful however, that after this ‘Goat rodeo’, our military gets the funding and authority to prosecute the wars that we have been dragged into in a way that leads to a quick and decisive victory over the forces of darkness that seems to be erupting around the world like pimples on a teenager. No other country on earth has the ability to do this at present, and we had better take our responsibilities seriously, starting with the Islamic State and their cohorts.

Tis good for the military if the Pubs can pull anything together.
Looks like we will have that faction as leadership for the next 6 to 10 years.
I worry that our economy is doomed remembering who led us into near disaster in 2007-08…….(Bush Administration).

Right you are, Dave on both counts. Unfortunately, the world in general has been slow to rise to the challenges we all face; not only wars and ethnocentrism, but conservation, protection of defenseless species with no food value, poor Elephants that sport the tusks loved by the Chinese, and mundane things like the genital mutilation of women. We (and Western Europe) seem to stand alone in caring for others. And, now they depend on us to fight for their freedom to be happy and live unfettered lives….
